Emma Chamberlain Shares Her “Objects of Affection”

Save this story Save Story Save this story We’ve all seen just how glorious Emma Chamberlain’s L.A. home is—but have you ever wondered what the star’s most prized possessions are inside? If you have, we’ve got answers. In a new Vogue video, we dropped in on Chamberlain at home to explore what her personal “objects of affection” are. The short answer? One-of-a-kind items she simply cannot live without—from art to fashion and more.

Chamberlain began her house tour with a few of her fashion must-haves. She can’t imagine a day, for one, without using her everyday bags—including a Prada black shoulder schlepper or a green Comme des Garçons style. “I’m emotionally attached to these two bags—they’ve been everywhere with me,” she says. Then it was onto her most-worn shoes, including a white pair of the polarizing and fabulous footwear style, Margiela Tabis.

Next, the star took us to her gallery wall to share a few of her favorite art pieces, including a self-portrait. “I absolutely hate it, but I do like the eyes,” she says. There was also the abstract wooden sculpture-slash-painting of … a butt. “I got it at an antique store,” says Chamberlain. “It balances humor and aesthetic.” Also included in the mix were family heirlooms, like paintings passed down to her from her grandmother, or works made by her father. “There’s probably 20,” she says of her dad’s creations. “For the most part, he does a lot of landscapes.”

As for some of the more unexpected objects you can find in Chamberlain’s cabinet of curiosities? A big movie poster of Napoleon Dynamite (her favorite film), a drum kit—”I’ve been practicing and making some. . . improvements,” she says—and a wigged mannequin that she calls her body double. “I purchased her as a prop for my podcast set,” says Chamberlain. “She told me she wants to be called Emma.” There are two Emmas in the Chamberlain household.
